So many parties, so little time! The Ball is tonight and everyone is excited! Halloween is already starting! Got any parties we haven’t heard about yet? Let us know!
Chris Kiss will be on stage with some of today’s top leading hair care creators and educators! If you missed the hair show in Orlando, this is your chance to for a second take, and to see one of your friends and local stylists on the hair show stage!
Mike Redmond, Butch Cote, and Chris Kiss! You can’t miss this amazing opportunity!
Cote, the brand new plant based hair care system, is officially here to stay! For the first few months Bambu was a test salon for the exciting new product. Since then we’ve had a ton of interest. We officially started selling it a few short weeks ago. Clients can always try it out for free when they book an appointment. Also, this marks the end of our time with Loma, so as previously posted, Loma is now 40% off. Goodbye Loma, Hello Cote!
It’s already been two months since the renovation and a month since the grand re-opening. How time flies. What does the future hold for the salon? Well, the future is bright for the boys, Chris and Josh, who have teaching opportunities coming up – which will be mentioned in an upcoming blog, so keep reading! For myself, Justin, teaching children has taken up most of my time now. I am onlyon Saturdays now.
So, the salon holds many new abilities, as do we all. Many exciting things are happening and still to come. We’re all looking forward to the future, no matter what happens.
With new changes comes a lot of house cleaning. We did some sales in the past with our Loma products trying to spread awareness of their great benefits, but now it’s time to say goodbye. We are currently focusing on two of our main products, Onesta and the new Cote Hair system. So Loma, in all it’s greatness, is slowly losing it’s place in our salon.
There is still much to sell! And we all love having Loma. It’s all natural, full of vitamins and minerals, free of animal testing, and gluten-free.
Come by and try it out! We have only heard positive things from the people who have bought and we absolutely have loved having and using Loma in our salon.
Chris is holding specialized classes for cosmetology students from various schools. He is teaching cut/colors, and maybe a few spa lessons in the future. You can sign-up by getting a hold of the salon! Were excited about the future of the industry and Chris wants to help educate students about our Eco efforts as well and techniques on hair. Classes start this week!
In case you haven’t seen or hear about it, here it is:
We are all very proud and excited. We have used this opportunity to do promotions, talk to people, and go out and see the world. We are happy that everything went so well and that Bambu has finally gotten such recognition. Bambu can only grow from here on out.
Our new podium came for the front office! Complete with a chandelier, this new podium is big enough to fit everything on top of it and underneath on its hidden shelves. It’s beautiful and it’s all recycled! Designed by Chris Kiss himself with the help of our friend Rob the Builder. It really makes everything come together and shine!!!
On top of all this good news, FOX News came for a visit to our salon on Tuesday! They interviewed both Chris and Josh as well as took some video footage of the boys in actions including myself answering some possibly faked phone calls (that’s acting for you!) It was all very nerve wracking and fun at the same time, the crew was nice and knew what they were doing, and we had a blast in the experience. Our news story will air
Sep. 10th, Saturday on Fox 13 Lindsay Melbourne’s “EARTH WATCH” series!
Chris and Josh have adjusted quite nicely to their new locations up front of the salon – where the office, kitchen, and guest lounge use to be. It is now a small (SMALL) office area with two very nicely built stations for the boys to do their haircuts and colors. The biggest issue has always been that there is AC in every room but this one. All of the AC machines blow at the lowest setting, but somehow the front room still feels even hotter than outside on occasion. Fortunately, we are getting a portable air cooler soon. This makes everyone very happy…
Carey, Kim, and Ellie are all in the original cutting room now. This has now been deemed “the ladies room”, and it follows that the front room has now also been deemed “the boys room”.
All the artwork has been moved up front and now is easily visible in the sunshine. Even the artwork that was previously on the walls in getting attention it didn’t receive before We may actually be able to sell some of the pieces now!
…The Air Cooler just arrived! Fancy!
The new SPA room has been a treat. It’s exciting to see it come together and even more so to see if being booked now. I think were all down for a facial and a massage.
The team has been working together very smoothly! It makes everyone happy to be easy going, laid back, and have as little stress as possible..though stress does happen.
For me, school starts back up on the 22nd, in two weeks, and my internship is starting. Today I spoke with the crew about it. I am going down to only three days a week. Not entirely enough days to be considered a manager – but that’s okay. Ellie and Kim have been so amazing I have complete confidence that the two of them will make it work.
Everyone here loves the salon world and is more excited about the changes that have been made than scared. I’m sure in the future there will be even more changes and new experiences. I will definitely be around to see them, sometimes as a manager, and always as a friend.
Thank you Bambu <3
